Privacy policy
What we collect, and why.
Last updated September 4, 2026. This policy covers this website. It is written to be read, so if anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
1.What We Collect
When you ask for a callback we collect your name and phone number. When you book a call we collect your name, email address, phone number, the time you picked and anything you type into the notes field. When you buy a website we collect your email address and business name, and later the details and files you submit through onboarding, which can include your logo.
We also collect ordinary technical information that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site or advertisement that sent you here.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information. Please do not send us government identification numbers, health information or financial account details through the forms on this site.
2.Payment Information
Card details are entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor, and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded along with the email address attached to it. Stripe handles the card itself under its own privacy policy.
3.Why We Collect It
We use what you give us to answer your enquiry, hold your appointment, build and maintain your website, take payment and send you the emails that go with those things, such as a booking confirmation, a receipt or an onboarding link.
We use the technical information to keep the site working, to understand which pages and advertisements bring people here, and to protect the site from abuse.
4.Cookies and the Meta Pixel
This site uses the Meta pixel, an advertising tool from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It sets cookies in your browser and tells Meta when you view a page, request a callback, book a call or buy a website. We use it to measure which advertisements produce real enquiries and to show our advertisements to people who have visited this site.
The pixel shares information with Meta, including your IP address and an identifier stored in the cookie, and Meta may combine it with information it already holds about you. What Meta does with it is governed by its own data policy.
Your browser also stores small amounts of information so the site works properly, such as remembering what you have typed into a form so you do not lose it if the page reloads. That stays on your device.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them stops the pixel from reporting and will not prevent you from using this site, requesting a callback, booking a call or making a purchase.
5.Who We Share It With
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We share it only with the companies that run parts of this business on our behalf: Stripe for payments, Meta for advertising measurement as described above, Google Calendar for scheduling your appointment, Vercel for hosting the site and storing files you upload, and our email provider for sending and receiving messages. Each handles the information under its own terms and only for the job we hired it to do.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the security of this site.
6.How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiries and booking details for as long as we may reasonably need them to follow up and to keep a record of our correspondence. We keep customer and project records for as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
7.Your Choices
Write to us at hello@localleaderwebdesign.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for it.
To stop seeing our advertisements, use the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account, or the ad settings on your device. To stop the pixel entirely, block cookies in your browser as described above.
If you have asked us to call you and would rather we did not, reply to any message from us or write to the address above and we will stop.
8.Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to the accounts holding your information is restricted to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we will not ask you to send sensitive information through this site, which keeps the risk small.
9.Children
This site sells website design to businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
10.Where We Operate
We are based in the United States and the information we collect is handled there. If you are visiting from elsewhere, be aware that the privacy laws of the United States may differ from those of your own country.
11.Changes to This Policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes take effect when they are posted here, so it is worth checking this page from time to time.
Questions about your information, or want it deleted? Write to hello@localleaderwebdesign.com and we will take care of it.
